A Send-Forth will be organised by the University to honour the immediate past Vice-Chancellor, Prof.Felix Kolawole Salako FSSSN, FASN at Scholar Centre , FUNAAB immediately after the investiture of Prof.Olusola Babatunde Kehinde as the 7th Substantive Vice-Chancellor of FUNAAB.
The Send-Forth is one of the highlights and features of a special Luncheon marking the Investiture of the new Vice-Chancellor.
According to the Chairman of Ceremonial Committee, Prof. Adegoke Bakare, immediately after the Investiture of the new Vice Chancellor. Invited guests are expected to proceed to Scholar Centre, CEADESE, FUNAAB for a Luncheon, organised in honour of both Professors Olusola Babatunde KEHINDE, the current Vice Chancellor and Professor Felix Kolawole SALAKO.
The immediate past Vice Chancellor , FUNAAB popularly referred to as Mr. Projects was known to have changed the landscape of the University with many world class infrastructural facilities, such as – e-library, CCTV, High power generators/solar power including X-ray equipment and utra sound machine, as well as beds and beddings for the University Maternity Center; Academic
buildings and Research Centres including the rare opportunity of having Professor Wole Soyinka bequeathing his “Ijegba House” to the University .
Climaxing his tenure, Professor SALAKO constructed a mega Dam, new Senate building amongst others, and restored public confidence in the University with full accreditation for all courses; including Mechatronics and Veterinary Medicine.
It is in recognition of the quality service and contribution of the immediate past Vice-Chancellor he will be honoured with a well deserved Send-Forth during the Luncheon.
Invited dignitaries from all tiers of public service, prescribed authorities of the University, Royal Fathers, Scholars from Academic Community and stakeholders in general, are expected to grace the Luncheon.
