Christians have been enjoined to always thank God, like David, in all their undertakings, irrespective of the circumstances, in this new year in order to access God’s manifold blessings and grace.
The General Overseer of Victory Life Bible Church, Apostle Lawrence Achudume stated this in his sermon at the first Sunday service themed “Thanksgiving Sunday”.
He urged Christian faithful to walk with God in the new year with increased faith that will give zero room to doubts.
Gaily dressed members danced happily for the uncommon grace to be alive to witness a new year.
He charged members to walk with faith despite the quantum of challenges and unforseen disasters that life might throw up in the course of the year as “we shall overcome all with Jesus”.
“Don’t let anything hinder your praise and thanksgiving. Give praise to God everywhere you are. Don’t let your circumstance remove worship and praises from you. Let’s bring back into our homes and families the tabernacle of David”, he advised.
“God inhabits the praises of his people. If you want God to inhabit your life, praise God! Whatever can stop you from praising God can stop your lifting. God deserves your thanks and praise irrespective of the situation.
In conclusion, Apostle Achudume urged the congregation “never to give the voice of God a second opinion. Once you start doing that, doubt begins to set in. When God speaks, don’t bring it to a place of discussion. Ensure you live a life pleasing to God. Be careful who you fellowship with”.
