NIPR President, Dr. Ike Neliaku led a high-powered delegation to Makurdi, Benue State on a condolence visit to the family of the Institute’s former Vice President, late Tyotom Keghku, Ph.D.
The President noted that the visit was to celebrate a man he said lived a good life, served the Institute meritoriously and left a legacy that will live for years to come.
He described Keghku as an icon, a giver and a thorough gentleman who lived sacrificially towards ensuring that the Institute is built to enviable heights.
The President while thanking wife of the late Keghku, Mrs. Mercy for supporting him throughout his years of service to NIPR also announced an automatic employment for the son, Mr. Evaristus Keghku to work at the NIPR Headquarters.
He also conveyed the condolences of the Hon. Minister of Information and National Orientation, past Presidents and Vice Presidents of the Institute.
Members of the President’s delegation also spoke glowingly of the late Keghku, attesting to his professional prowess, how much he impacted the teaching and practice of public relations in Nigeria, as well as his mentorship roles.
In the entourage were: the Vice President Prof. Emmanuel Dandaura, Council Members Gen. S.K Usman (Rtd), Mrs. Olubunmi Badejoh and Pst. Paulinus Nsirim.

Karibi George, Dr. Andee Iheme, Dr. Peter Oyeneye, Lady Chinwe Ogbuka, Princess Tiwalade Fapohunda, Mrs. Grace Zamani, Mr. Stanley Ogadigo (Director of Public Relations, NIPR), Chairman of Benue State Chapter of NIPR, Mr. Kelvin Alom and his executive members, staff of NIPR Secretariat, Mr. Emmanuel Onchono, Duke Imandu and Alexandria Eke.
