The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations as part of the planning process in organising the 2025 Nigeria Public Relations Week scheduled to hold between May 19th and 24th at Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State, has released the timetable for the conduct of electing members of council to run the affairs of the Institute for the next two years.
It will be recalled that the current council led by Dr Ike Neliaku, fnipr was elected and inaugurated in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, two years ago .
The 23-man council constitutes 17 elected members, while 6 others were government appointees.The council has lived up to expectations, initiating numerous laudable visionary professional programmes which has not only impacted positively on the membership explosion, but has left an indelible footprints in the areas of public relations practice, education and research.
Public Relations with the recent strides, has no doubt been pivotal in her role of enhancing quality corporate governance, stakeholder management and building trust amongst the citizens and government in Nigeria and beyond.
