Sequel to the request of Olowu of Owu Kingdom, Oba Professor Saka Matemilola for partnership with PR Primus Limited on making life better for citizens and subsequent invitation to attend the pre-inauguration meeting of Solace Substance Abuse And Mental Health Advocacy Group (SSAMHAG), PR Primus has commenced media support for the laudable initiative.
Speaking with journalists after the pre-inauguration meeting, the MD/ CEO of PR Primus Limited, Mr. Akin Okudero said his organisation will give full support to the programme geared towards enhancing the total well being of citizens by promoting virtues and discouraging social vices like substance abuse and the likes.
Earlier whilst delivering the vote of thanks, Olori Ameenah Matemilola asked for the support of all stakeholders like parents, teachers, community leaders, religious leaders, traders, politicians, civil servants, students and the general public to support efforts to improve the lives of citizens.
One of the attendees, Dr. Adepoju warned parents that some children had started to abuse thyme seasoning and urged parents to set good examples for their children and wards. Also speaking, the Principal of Methodist High School, Ogbe expressed readiness of teachers to support the advocacy programme and warned citizens against abusing drug prescriptions.
Dignitaries at the well attended pre- Inauguration meeting held at the Palace of the Olowu included the Olowu of Owu, Chiefs, the State Director, NDLEA, Mrs Ibiba Odili and the Ogun State Chairman, Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), Dr. Kunle Ashimi, who raised an alarm on the negative effect of lottery on the health of citizens.
